Family Kim

My brother came up from Hawai'i for our younger sister's Senior college volleyball game. We were puzzling over what family friendly media we could watch and he suggested dramafever.org....Resulting in dozens of hours of watching Korean dramas. My daughter now has a new interest in this side of her family and is teaching herself Korean (she is in her 3rd year of Chinese, as her father is part Chinese.)  My daughter has been reading voraciously about Korean culture and I read one of her books as we walked home and learned that the clan culture when walking home, like the Navajos I hang out with, it used to be illegal to marry into your family clan which created massive repositories for GENEALOGY run by clan officials some dating back to AD 47. She then went into family search and found THIS https://familysearch.org/search/image/index#uri=https://familysearch.org/records/collection/1398522/waypoints and then this little helpful guide http://koreangenealogy.org/book/family-registries/family-records/
